Boxer Briefs Manufacturer
Contour-pouch, standard and trunk-length boxer briefs in cotton, modal, bamboo and performance knits — cut, sewn and inspected in our own Shenzhen factory with MOQs from 300 pieces.
The volume style, produced properly
Boxer briefs are the highest-volume men's underwear style in most Western markets and the one most likely to be re-sourced on price. That is exactly why they need a disciplined factory: the garment has four elastic interfaces — waistband, two leg openings and the pouch edge — and each one can fail independently.
We produce boxer briefs with flatlock, cover-stitch and bonded construction, at inseams from 3 to 8 inches, in sizes S to 3XL. Patterns are graded from a single locked block, so a size L from the first batch and a size L from the fourth measure the same.
- Contour pouch, horizontal fly, vertical fly or pouch-free construction
- 3 inch, 4 inch, 5 inch, 6 inch and 8 inch inseams; trunk and short-leg options
- Flatlock seams for zero bulk, or bonded seams for a smooth finish
- Waistbands 30–40 mm: rolled, woven, jacquard, embossed or printed
- Sublimation all-over print, screen print, embroidery and heat-transfer branding

Built for repeat programmes
One block, every batch
Your pattern is graded once and locked. Reorders are cut from the same block, so fit does not drift between seasons.
Elastic tested before cutting
Recovery, elongation and heat-set behaviour are tested on the bulk waistband and leg elastic, not on the sample.
All-over print capability
Sublimation printing on polyester and poly-blend bodies, with strike-off approval before the bulk run.
Multipacks and retail packs
Mixed-size three-packs, printed polybags, carton marks and barcodes ready for retail distribution.
Repeat orders in 15–20 days
Reorders skip development and ship two to three weeks faster than a first order on the same block.
Measurement report per batch
Ten garments measured at the start and end of each run, with the report attached to the shipment file.

From brief to shipment
Review and quote
Send a sample, a tech pack or a competitor product. We benchmark the construction and quote against it.
Fabric and elastic approval
Lab dip, hand-feel swatch and elastic recovery test approved before bulk fabric is committed.
Fit sample
One fit sample in 5–7 days, measured against your size chart with photographs of every angle.
Size set and PP sample
A graded size set confirms grading; a pre-production sample in bulk fabric confirms the final construction.
Bulk production
Cutting, sewing with in-line inspection, finishing and an AQL 2.5 final audit.
Packing and export
Retail packs, cartons and export documents prepared, then delivered to your forwarder.
Certifications and testing that your importer will ask for
Certification is checked before the order is placed, not after. We hold the current reports and can arrange buyer-specific testing at the same time as the pre-production sample.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
Fabric and trims tested for harmful substances against the current limit values, with the certificate renewed every year.
BSCI / Sedex audited factory
Social compliance audit reports available for your supplier onboarding file, covering wages, hours and safety.
Bamboo, modal and recycled fibre papers
Fibre composition and chain-of-custody documents for bamboo, Lenzing modal, TENCEL™ and recycled polyester claims.
Colour fastness and shrinkage reports
Wash, rub, perspiration and dimensional-stability tests run on the bulk fabric before cutting starts.
Country-of-origin and customs paperwork
Commercial invoice, packing list, HS codes and origin declaration prepared so your broker clears the shipment without a delay.
Buyer-specific testing programmes
We work directly with SGS, Intertek and Bureau Veritas for buyer protocols such as Walmart, Target or ISO 9001 programmes.
Boxer brief questions
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Our standard MOQ is 300–1,000 pieces per style, mixed sizes. Styles using stock fabric can start from 300 pieces; a fully custom knit or dye lot usually starts at 1,000 pieces per colour. Tell us your target quantity and we will confirm what is achievable.
How long does sampling take?
A development sample takes 5–7 working days after artwork and fabric are confirmed. A full size set takes 10–12 working days. Sample cost is credited against the bulk order.
What is the lead time for bulk production?
Bulk production runs 15–45 days from deposit and approved pre-production sample, depending on quantity, fabric availability and trim lead times. We confirm the schedule in writing before you pay the deposit.
Which payment terms do you accept?
T/T (30% deposit, 70% against the copy of the bill of lading), L/C at sight, and PayPal for samples. Terms are confirmed in the proforma invoice.
Can you handle fabric, labels and packaging as well?
Yes. Fabric knitting, dyeing, cutting, sewing, printing, embroidery, labels, hangtags and retail packaging all sit inside our own supply chain, so a single purchase order covers the finished, retail-ready product.
How do you control quality?
Every order passes an incoming fabric inspection, an in-line check at 30% and 70% of the run, a final AQL 2.5 inspection before packing, and a shipment check against the approved sample and packing list.
Can you match a boxer brief I already sell?
Yes, and it is the most common way a programme starts. Post us a production sample and your current size chart. We reverse-engineer the pattern, benchmark the fabric weight and construction, and quote against the same specification before suggesting any change.
Which waistband should I choose?
For volume retail, a rolled 35–38 mm elastic gives the best cost-to-performance ratio. A woven jacquard waistband adds a branded look at modest cost but needs tooling and a higher MOQ. Embossed elastic is the middle option: branded appearance, no tooling.
The four failure points of a boxer brief
A boxer brief has four places where elastic meets fabric, and each fails differently. The waistband loses recovery and starts to fold. The leg openings relax and ride up. The pouch seam creeps and either puckers or gapes. The fabric itself bags out at the seat because the knit was too loose for the elastane content.
All four are decided before the first garment is sewn. Elastic recovery is a property of the braid and the heat-set temperature. Pouch behaviour is a pattern property — the difference between a contour panel and a flat panel is where the stretch allowance sits. Bagging is the interaction between knit structure and elastane percentage. A factory that checks only stitch quality will ship a garment that fails in the third wash.
Inseam length is a market decision
Four to five inches dominates North American retail; six inches reads as athletic; shorter trunks and three-inch styles do better in parts of Europe and in fashion-led channels. Length also changes fabric consumption per garment, and therefore price — worth knowing when a competitor’s quotation looks inexplicably low.
All-over print programmes
Sublimation gives an unlimited colour range with no per-colour screen cost, which suits print-led brands selling in small quantities. The constraint is the substrate: sublimation needs polyester or a high-polyester blend, and the panel has to be cut from a printed roll with correct positioning. We strike off the artwork on bulk fabric for approval, then print to the marker so the print does not drift across sizes.
Costing a boxer brief honestly
Fabric typically accounts for 45–60% of the cost, labour 20–30%, and the waistband plus trims the rest. When a quotation is much lower than the field, it is almost always one of three things: a lighter fabric than the specification, a shorter inseam, or a lower-grade elastic. Ask for the fabric weight per square metre and the elastic brand — a factory that will not answer those questions is telling you something.
